I've got the 1/76 one out and I fancy doing something different with it  Think  I've already built one as an M3 Grant and I now fancy doing a Lee    Maybe a British one in North Africa or (as I don't have many types) a Russian lend-lease one
Time for a bit of research and to scour the decal file

Obligatory sprue-shot

As my red star decals are too big    I'm going for a U.S. Army Lee in North Africa

I read a review somewhere that recommended building the hull before adding the running gear, so

I used X818 German Tank Interior Cream inside and a mixture of Humbrol 63 & 26 on the exterior

Hi Ratch

Perversely, the US Army left its tanks in OD for Tunisia - there are some nice screen-grabs from a colour film on this site (with a British Humber as a bonus)

There's a link to the rest of the set below the photo.

What the table doesn't make clear is that Earth Yellow was applied over the OD as a secondary camouflage colour, not overall.

The best of it is that I hadn't checked my copy of armour camouflage & markings NORTH AFRICA 1940 - 1943 by George R. Bradford, which would have made all clear
Repainted now though
I've also discovered that the tactical markings on the decal sheet are for the 13th Armoured Regiment, and (depending upon how they're positioned) can represent 'B', 'E' or 'H' Co.

Nice work Ratch.

It looks like you'll finish yours before I've even started mine.
