The kit I used is no longer available but they have re-released an un-painted kit as the one I used was the prepainted pocket kit here is the kit number of the new one Product number 03609 It's length130 mm I added lighting to this very small model I used 3mm surface mounted LED's and 1.8mm blue LED's for the engine effects and very fine winding wire or magnet wire depends on what you call it here is a video from my YouTube channel

Simon: according to Wookipedia (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial ... _Destroyer), the Star Destroyer is 1600m long. Asuming your model is 0,35m, the scale would be 1600/0,35 = 4600:1 aproximately.
Your model is very good.
I like Star Wars spaceships a lot, and this one is impressive, specially during Episode IV (A New Hope), when she crossses all the screen... :wow:
I've seen one Destroyer with led lights inside: awesome!

It's only 13cm long not 35cm so using your calulation it's 12,300:1 :) although thanks for the info it's good to know how to work out scales

Sorry Simon, I was thinking in the MPC Star Destroyer.
I build one of those for my nephew, some years ago (no LED lights, then).
Your calculation is well done.

My loved ones are the X-Wing, Y- Wing and TIE Fighters, from the Original Trilogy. I have a Millenium Falcon I bought at Disney's in January vacations.
New ones... I prefer to forget and forgive Mr. Lucas.
