The purpose of individual's portfolios is to present a resume or CV of the member's builds.

We post pictures of our builds in different sections according to subject. The portfolio is to show the finished work of the individual in one place. A link can be provided to the location (thread/website etc) where other pictures are located.

The first post should contain an introduction.

The subsequent posts contain completed builds and may contain links to larger pictures and/or threads/websites. Please remember to state the kit manufacturer and scale of the model so that others can appreciate what you started with. If you have a lot of models, you may want to put spread them over several posts, or maybe sub-divided by subject.

Work in progress builds should not be included.

Other members may leave comments at any time.

You can lay yours out how you like. There are three restrictions on the portfolios though -
    - each member can only have ONE active thread.
    - each thread should contain only ONE picture of EACH completed model*.
    - images in the portfolio should be no bigger than 800 pixels wide (otherwise there could be page loading problems for the more extensive portfolios) They can of course, be smaller.

*If anybody wants to display lots of pictures of a particular model, including montages of multiple pictures of one model inserted within one image, then they should be posted in the appropriate forum in the Picture Gallery in the usual manner.  If more than one picture of a completed model is posted in the portolio, then the extra ones will be deleted, as will be montages.

Anyone who has created a portfolio will be entitled to have a "Model Portfolio" remark added to their profile so other members can see who has a portfolio.  Note that it is possible to miss the creation of a new portfolio thread so send a PM to an Administrator to make sure "Model Portfolio" is added to your profile.

Note that this is not the same as a "My Portfolio" link in the signature block of a profile which is the member's responsibility to add. This is done by the following:

Click on your "Profile" link and enter the following in the Signature section:

[url=PORTFOLIO_URL]My Portfolio[/url]

Note that PORTFOLIO_URL should be replaced with the URL of your first Portfolio post that creates your Portfolio thread. Ensure you have BBCode enabled in your signature otherwise the link will not work.

Hopefully, this will prove to be a popular section and if anyone can think of ways of improving it, then please let me know in the Members Portfolios - Chat thread.  Of course, no-one is under any obligation to have a portfolio!

Quality of Images
Please ensure that the pictures you put in the Picture Gallery/Portfolios are of good enough quality.  Some pictures being posted are too dark, out of focus, way too large, way too small etc. Not only are they bad for viewing but they will not be doing justice to your models. Before uploading the pictures put them through an image editor such as Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, Irfanview etc.  Remember to crop the pictures too so we don't have a huge picture showing a nice wall with a tiny model in one corner!

Number of Images
Unlike the Members Portfolios where you can only post one picture of each completed model, there is currently no limit to the number of photos you can post in the Picture Gallery.  Don't go mad though! Remember that too many pictures slows down the browsing and some poor souls are still using modem-connections!  If you do have lots of very large pictures, then consider using  thumbnails or text links instead.

Please do not post Reference Pictures in Members Portfolios. Such posts will be deleted. The purpose of these threads is to showcase the individual's model collection.

A reminder you may post only one image per completed model in your Portfolio, additional images may be posted in the Galleries and composite pictures featuring multiple models should be posted in your WIP thread.

Extra images in Portfolios will be deleted :rules:
