Sexton was a Canadian built SPG carrying a 25pdr. It was initially based on the RAM tank - which like the M7 priest was based on the M3 Lee/Grant. Production versions were based on the Grizzly - a Canadian M4 derivative. It replaced the M7 Priest in the British Army because of logistical problems with the Priest's 105mm ammunition. It remained in British service until 1956.
