I've hit a bit of a stumbling block with my Singapore build, and I was wondering if any of you who are better "in the know", than me can help me out.

The Short Singapore was powered by 4 Rolls Royce Kestrel Engines, and the kit instructions tell you where, and that you have to make the Oil Coolers. No problem making them, but what exactly did they look like? On some pics they look like a small Radiator, (like most of the fighters of the era), on others it resembles something like the float mechanism in a toilet system. Can anyone help   ?

I found this, which made me really rather humble:

Wow. Puts it all into perspective when I am having nightmares wondering where I am going to put an Airfix 1/24 Stuka!

Thanks Hewman. I downloaded a pic off google of another R/C model, (this one had camo), and that had similar oil coolers. So I will build mine using the website you have posted.

A lot of info on this site Mike, http://theflyingboatforum.forumlaunch.net/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=480 Fwiw, I reckon the radiators are large flat ones upright in the rear of the fairings above the front motors with opening doors in the front of the fairing to control engine temperature.
Steve.

Thanks Steve, it is a very good website, with a few more pics that I have not got. What you are referring to, are the Radiators, which have been sorted. I'm after the Oil Coolers which where fitted to the outer side of the engine nacelles. Most of the pics, that area is in shadow or the view is obstructed, I think they looked like a Transmission cooler on a car, so I'm running with that idea.

Riiiight, too busy seeing what I wanted too. :( I'm wondering if the sort of oil coolers found under the noses of similarly Kestrel engined single engined aircraft might not be a clue, sort of like a stack of pan cakes in which case, the photo on the third page of that link I showed above, about the 4th post down shows them off pretty well, thats if I'm thinking of the right things this time. :)
Steve.
