Hasegawa 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf109E-4. Believe it or not, the canopy frames on this one are Squadron's FastFrames. These are self-adhesive vinyl that you paint then apply. They must not have proved very popular as they weren't around very long, but these did work well. The kit is over 15 years old and there's no sign of the canopy framing wanting to peel off. I think the wheels are aftermarket resin items as well.

Airfix 1/72 Curtiss Hawk 81 built OOB. Could really use a vac canopy, but other than that it's the best early P-40 kit available - in any scale.

Airfix 1/72 Douglas F4D-1 Skyray: this could have benefited from a bit of pre-shading.

Thanks!

The Skyray is a lovely little kit. My only gripe is the spindly main landing gear; definitely not appropriate for a carrier-based aircraft.

Yep the the Skyray is a great kit, I built it when it was newly released and loved it!!
The "Ford's" landing gear did very well handling high sink rates and deck collisions (err landings :Whistling: ), there were more Banshee landing gear fails than "Ford's" (and that's not many).
