for my ME 109 pilot i had him with a satin black jaket , sand trousers and brown boots .
it looks good but is it accurate?

Ayup Sopwith...

I actually painted them the wrong colour ! no 96 is Raf Blue ! !

Trouble is, they're in their cockpit now, so it's too late ! mind you, someone above said that they'd got insulated suits that colour, so no worries for me !

For Sopwith. The Australian War Memorial has, on line, several photos, in colour, of various German uniforms. These include flying gear. I used the site reciently for details pertaining to my Erich Hartman bust. awm.com.au should do the trick. Then follow the prompts.

I painted the leather jacket brown and when this dried I overpainted with black oil paint. When this had dried I gently rubbed it on the highlights to let the brown just show through. The zippers are brass and the fabric backing is brown.
