Come on chaps, be nice! Poor old Heggy is obviously trying to make sure he does his best for the Jeep GB.

I reckon you need to be a fairly constant presence - not forever making posts, but showing your [virtual] face on a regular basis, whether to submit reference material, post your own progress or whatever. I think you also need to build the subject at a speed to match or be slightly ahead of the majority of the participants, so that they can watch your progress and take inspiration if necessary (one of the reasons I haven't offered to lead a build - I'd be miles behind everybody...).

Finally, I know that it winds some people up, but I favour Owen's approach of serving up equal helpings of encouragement and gentle nudging. Particularly during the Hurricane GB, I appreciated the odd poke to keep me going when I was flagging and feeling things weren't going well.

Remember, all these things are just my view. However you do it, make sure that you enjoy the build too - we're all (mostly) grown-ups and if you worry too much about your 'responsibilities' that you lose all the fun for yourself, that's definitely a bad thing.

Sorry if it sounded negative, but I really wanted to know
Everyone is different and some Leaders can be the quiet, lead by example types and some are full of information and some are motivators and that's just three
If Heggy wants to know what's expected of him - well, just be yourself
