My name is Jesper Larsen
I’m Danish and born in 1963.
I have build models since I was too young to do it myself.
I think making models is one of the best hobbies ever!
My interest is wide and I have nearly all genres represented in my collection.
Relaxing while building is one important aspect for me.
So it doesn’t really matter if a model takes 4 weeks or 7 years,
as long the road was nice or challenging and the result rewarding in it’s own right.
Most of my models are built out of the box with a few exceptions.
I don't have the patients to use resin or photo etch parts unless the kit is born with them.
I don't use alternative decals unless I have to.
I paint with brush and try to make the finish better than the models before.
But always ending up with calling it finished with some details missing or neglected.
I don’t know why, but I think a model should always have something needing to be finished or improved.
Jesper.

I have now merged my two model entries, so this is the whole bunch of my photographed models:
Heller’s 1/24 Citroën 2 CV finished in 2006.
Revell’s 1/24 Trabant RS 600 finished in 2005.
Gunze Sangyo’s 1/24 BMW Isetta 300 finished in 2006
Tamiya’s 1/24 Fiat 500F finished around 1998.
Airfix (MPC) 1/25 Chrysler Imperial 1932 Finished in 2008.
Hasegawa’s 1/24 Sauber Mercedes C9. Finished in 2007.
Models from the more jolly side of modelling:
Airfix’s Wallace & Gromit. Finished around 2001. (still missing brake cables).
Hasegawa’s Egg Space Shuttle. Finished in 2008. A fast and fun model to build.
Some airplanes from my collection:
Novo’s (Frog) 1/72. Bristol 138A. Finished in 2008.
Airfix’s 1/72. De Havilland DH 88 Comet. Finished in 2001.
My biplanes is sadly not rigged I haven’t got the courage yet.
They also lack weathering since I will do the rigging first.
Airfix’s 1/72. Airco DH 4. Finished in 1999.
Airfix’s 1//72. Albatross DV. Finished in 1999.
Airfix’s 1/72. Sopwith 2F1 Camel. Finished in 2001.
A little something I made during lunch brakes in a former job I had. Made from cardboard, wire, electronic components and tape. The scale is close to 1/72. Made in 1997 I think.
Hasegawa’s 1/72 Supermariner Spitfire Mk I. Build around 1978 and is the oldest model I still have.
Airfix’s 1/72 Bristol Blenheim IV. Build to participate in the 90 years of RAF group build in 2008.
Dragon’s 1/72 Heinkel He 162 A-2 "Salamander". Finished around 1990 I think.
Revell’s old 1/72 Messerschmitt Me 410 A2/U4 "Hornisse" Finished in ????.
Italeri’s 1/72 Henschel HS 129 B-1. Finished in 2008.
Revell’s 1/72 Arado Ar 240C-02 Nightfighter. Finished in 2002.
Frog's 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf.109F. Old, simple, vintage kit made as a quick build in 2008.
It really need a better paint job, or some touch-ups.
Hasegawa’s 1/72 Bf.109E-3. Build about 10 years ago.

Airfix’s 1/72. Cessna Bird Dog. Finished in 2006.
KP’s 1/72. Mikoyan & Gurevich MiG 17 'Fresco'. Finished in 1991
Academy’s 1/144 Martin Marauder B-26B. Build about 10 years ago.
Revell’s 1/144 Republic P47D Thunderbolt and a 1/24 figure from Fujimi to make it look like an RC model.
Helicopters:
Italeri’s (Dragon) 1/72. MIL MI 28 'Havoc'. Finished in 2000.
Italeri's 1/72 Bell AH-1 / AB-47. Finished in 2003.
Revell's 1/72 RAH-66 Comanche. Finished in 2002.
Figures and Sci-Fi:
Halcyon’s 1/6 Judge Death. Started in 1997 and still missing detail painting.
Playing Hamlet with a real skull. I think it’s from a rat.
Bandai’s 1/144. Mobil suit GuAIZ and Launcher strike Gundam. Finished in 2007.
Bandai’s 1/? Super deform Strike Gundam. Finished in 2004. Snap together kit build straight from the box without paint or glue.
Wave’s 1/24. Tachikoma and Motoko Kusanagi from the Anime “Ghost in the shell stand alone complex” Finished in 2006.
And the pride in my collection:
1/700 Hasegawa’s Ise and Fujimi’s Shimozuki.
They got me a 1’st. in there class in the 2003 IPMS Danish National Championship.
I think it was a case of the right model in the right place..
The following years they would not even have been in the top 4.
More models on page two.
All the best from Jesper.

Thanks to all of you!
I have more interesting car models in the pipeline and with my speed I think they will be finished in a year or two or tree.
The longest in the work pile (2½ year) is a Gunze Sangyo Lamborghini Silhouette
witch has giving me many problems with colour seeping through from the red plastic to my intended white finish.
I also ruined the windshield so I have to make a new one.
But once finished I think it will be a real stunner.
If the sun (and light) is OK tomorrow I will “shoot” some of my other models.
With thanks from Jesper. |

Brillant - love the rusty Fiat too. And the Trabant - you can still hear one just by looking at it! _________________ the evolution of the modern car is such it now ressembles a toaster. |

More pictures added today 24 aug.
If I ever find out what went wrong with the white-balance I will replace them with new ones.
All the new pictures look kind of blue.

31 Aug. Last pictures in a while added.
Now I going to build some new ones first or finish the rest already on my shelves.
You know: Details, broken parts, final touch-up…

I like your Luftwaffe stuff and your approach to "mottling." I'm a little weirded-out by the rat skull. _________________ “Build what YOU want, the way YOU want to, and above all, have fun.”

Hello Dancho and thanks!
Don't be alarmed by the skull.
It was found as is in the shrub surrounding my mother-in-law’s house.
I have not done anything to obtain it except finding it.
I see it as a prop just like a twig or other natural material.
Several of my Luftwaffe airplanes are mottled with a cotton swab with a technique similar to dry brushing.
Others are just done by brush painting.
When you don’t use airbrush you have to think in other ways to do the work.
I’m glad you like it.
All the best from Jesper. |

Just to make it more tidy.

Ayup Jesper...
Really nice stuff. I love the Buckeye best. I must start to look for one to go with my Skyknight...
It's amazing what Dayglo paint does for a model... And i must get a Cougar too... and a panther and.. and...
