I began this for a GB, but got rapidly bogged down fitting the SAM resin bits. The resin and some decals I bought for early Hunters were not cheap so rather than binning I am determined to finish it in some shape or form.
I really cannot recommend this combination of kit and resin conversion, it would be easier to start with a Revell kit. They must surely release a boxing with the early wing at some stage.

That conversion still doesn't fix the error in the kit that bugged me the most, which was that the wings are located 2mm too far back. To fix this, you need to razor saw off the wings at the roots (including the intakes) and move them forward. Youwill then not need that resin plug behind the wings.
As for the early wings, can't you just get rid of the dog teeth? Or are there different panel lines that need scribing? |

I would have thought so. The only reason I started this up was because I bought the conversion before the Revell kit was issued. It was not cheap so I thought I may as well build it. Whilst I wouldn't recommend going down this road there has still been some satisfaction in nailing it all together, although there is, as is plain to see, some way to go.
