Greetings from Sunny CambridgeshireHi All,
Bazza here.
Glad to have found the site, as the bug has bitten again.
Was a massive builder of mainly Airfix kits, usually aircraft, in the 70s as a kid. I must have made at least a hundred kits, but the ultimate was the much coveted 1:24 Harrier. It had teased me for months sat on a high shelf in the NAFFI shop. (Dad in the RAF). Then, a birthday came and so it was mine!!!! It took me months to build as I took such care with the precious gift. No idea what happened to it in the end though. But I see there is a modern version, and as I have them from RAF Whittering buzz my place occasionally, I think thats enough excuse to put it on the xmas list.
I was just ebaying randomly the other week and ended up ordering a SAR Sea King and a air ambulance on the spur of the moment.
Oh the memories have been coming back. Did the Apollo Sea King kit, though Im sure they used to fit together better then than now.
Lots to relearn, but I see a lot of time stabbing the dining table and getting paint under my nails ahead.
Cheers
Bazza
