hey everyone,

Any tips on how to line up the two main pieces of a ship?
Every time one bit lines up, the other bit comes part

cheers

Ayup Dinotramp...

Place the two halves together and tape them together at intervals. Then you can run Liquid Poly, Plastic Weld or whatever's your preferred pison down the joint...

HTH.

An alternative to taping and doing it in one go, start at one end e.g the bow, glue that and let it dry. Then repeat, working your way down towards the stern. This also works well with hull or fuselage halves which show some warpage.

Ayup Rich...

And what about Spragging it as you go to get an EXACT fit with the Deck sides as you go along too ?

I normally cut off all of the locating pins (They never seem to line up). Then I superglue the stern and the bow. Then I work along the keel gluing a bit at a time.

Cheers for that guys.
