Hi there my name is Graham when I was at Raf Leuchars airshow I decided to return to modelling by buying harrier 1:24, has anyone built this model in the scale mentioned. Also I have trouble painting the small instrument panel dials with a brush any tips on other methods of painting as it would be helpful.

For the Dials, I find it better to dry brush the dials to bring out the detail. Take a flat stiff brush, dip the bristles in the paint in the lid; then rub it off on a piece of kitchen roll untill there is hardly anything left at all. Repeat this process and the lightly brush across the top of the dials untill you start to see them come to life. A drop of Klear in the dials of a 1/24 would make the glass effect and add to the look

Thanks Danial7891 tried that method but it doesnt work on the models that I used to build. Does anyone know when HMS Illustrious 1:350 is going on sail as I like to build boats as well as aircraft.

I have one complaint with the 1:24 harrier kit why do airfix supply poster paints instead of humbrol paints? Can anyone answer this?

They are cheaper to produce. Also they can get around some postal services rules about sending flammable paint through the post.

Acryllics airbrush okay but I prefer enamel.

Has anyone built a 1:24 scale harrier on here if so Im looking for some good tips on how to upgrade the aircraft with photos please as it would help me so much thanks P.S. Tornados have being flying around down in Ayr today.
