Hello my friends,
One 2 months ago my little old "jimmy" is gone ,a cruel and   terrible disease has prevailed in the 15 days. I would like to introduce our new companion, Darwin, 8 weeks and already loving models kits as his master.

T16S

Hello my friends,some littles news.
The fire forests season has begun here in the south of france and I have much less free time for models .... Here are the latest photos of the Ark Royal building.Improvements and the conversion is completed and the model is waiting  to receive the WEM stuf.. I have also decided  to not use the aircraft  of the  airfix kit because they  are too simplistics ...My choice is to use a set of aircraft to the 700th resine range  from a french artisant.
See you soon for the next.

Hello the fellowship, the assembly continues with the installation of set WEM.The level of detail is great and gives a very interesting and realistic  look..Few efforts and the Ark will join his natural element. Here are the latest pictures taken this morning just before going to work.

Absolutely fantastic work!!

I'm actually holding off on building ship kits at the moment. I'm waiting until you start building a kit that I have in the stash so I can follow your progress.
T16S

Ayup Remy- looking superb with all that brass and detailing.
We are hearing about many fires in France and Spain so I expect that you will be very busy. Please be careful!
cheers Stuart

Hello Stu,we have actualy a lot of bigs fires in the south France and the wind blow too so as you says we are very busy .We had 4 wounded and burned trucks, it was very difficult.I'm fine, a little tired but no injuries or burns ..   I hopes to re start  the assembly of the ark very quickly.
mister Spudgun, what are the kits you have in your stash? May be i have built one of them and  you have not seen the post on the Atf forum At this time i have built the follow kits:bismark, iron duke ,ajax, welshman, mauretania dazzle, graf spee, all the destroyers set, hood, suffolk and in progress Ark royal and Prinz Eugen(coming soon) I have in my stash sharnshorst, nelson, belfast, warspite, repulse,KGV so still much work ahead and of course all my scratch projects.

Remy, I have a majority of the ship kits you mention. However I have a special interest in HMS Iron Duke. I already have this kit and the WEM etch for it. Another kit of interest is HMS Warspite (Although I don't have it yet). With both of these kits due for a re-release this year, one of your master classes in building them could possibly be of interest to ATF members. Doing HMS Warspite in her Jutland fit would be fantastic!
dinotramp

That looks brilliant!
orionv

Hello Spudgun, you have in the Atf forum my building of the Iron duke, all the built is detailled with all the transformations to have a 14 18 war  versions. For my Warspite i want make it during the 43 44 period or may be during his mediteranean dutty,i don t have decided.

Hello the fellowship
Sad news today, this morning and for the first time since the beginning of my airifx naval project, the Ark fell on the ground...   There are a lot of damage on the port side ,broken parts and all the radio antenas masts are totaly destroyed...idem for the rears baskets...I have managed to repair most damage except for the radio antenas masts.it will take to order a new board photodec for september to replace the missing parts.
I'll post new photos soon, amitiés Rémy
Ps i am desesperate ....
walrus

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spudgun

I think most of us know how you feel at this time. You're not alone in having to deal with a model that has suffered an accident.
Ratch

Don't throw anything away    you never know when it might become useful
T16S

Ooooppsss! Disaster! The Ark is sunk but being salvaged.
Was a certain Darwin involved in this incident?
Cheer up Remy- things aren't as bad as they seem- Madame dusted my Warspite and bent the mast and has since done the same to most of my ships- I daren't look at them these days!
cheers Stu and sympathy- worse things happen at sea!
orionv

Hello stu,no, mister Darwin is totaly innocent for this time ,i am the one in fault...My wife does not get dust in my workshop so no risk ....Today everything is repaired,i am waiting for the new photodec stuf to have the 4 radio mast antenas....i think have them for september,my local dealer is on holiday for 3 weeks...
Thank for all,amitiés rémy

Helle the fellowship
Thank for all the answers
I have a little question about the Ark,does anyone know if the Fulmars  and the Swordfishs are together during the Ark's mediterranean tour of duty?I've done 4 fulmars ready to take off, and I wish represented the landing of a Swordfish...Amitiés rémy
Ratch

I left the Fulmars off mine, but I'm sure someone said they were there with the Stringbags  Think
orionv

ok Thank you mister Ratch.
T16S

Ayup Remy,
I think Fulmars are okay. I think the wreck was recently found and surveyed and some of the aircraft too- Google Search and see what you can find.
cheers Stu
T16S
