hms trafalgar 1942

HELLO, am a new member and unfamiliar withe the site,my problem is that  i would like to download the article on  hms trafalgar in the july 1969 airfix magazine  but the davecov thread  to downloading the article in question refers me to the airfix tribute forum.
However I cannot find  the place where I   might find (and download the article). I would appreciate any help in tracking   it down and also if any member has further info  on building the kit such as plans etc to enable as accurate model as possible, its the novo 1/325 kit, presumably ex airfix
thanks in anticipation
wookie

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure where Dave has hidden them either - he did say that his main site would be resurrected to host the articles but it does still appear to be down.  I do have the downloaded article as a series of scans from Dave's original site which I can email you if you drop me a PM with your email address but other than background info I'm not sure it will assist you much as the Airfix Magazine article deals with converting the 1/600 HMS COSSACK into a BATTLE Class.  I used it to convert a DARING hull into HMS DUNKIRK.  A better source of information would be the Peter Hodges 1971 book  but that is long out of print and I saw one recently on Ebay at £75.  There is a new book out by Peter Boniface entitled "The Battle Class Destroyers" (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Battle-Class-Destroyers-Patrick-Boniface/dp/1904459285/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1230394027&sr=8-1) that looks good from its write up but I have no personal experience of it.

The Novo model is AFAIK ex-Frog.
