Is anyone scrapping an old HMS Tiger?

I fancy turning a Belfast into a Newcastle, but don't fancy the excessive carving of the hull if I just re-size the Belfast: easier to add the tail (sorry! stern!) onto the back of the Tiger hull.  Buying a new Tiger AND a Daring seems incredibly wasteful....if cheaper than the WEM 1/700 resin Sheffield!

Annoyingly, I used to have a gash Tiger hull but passed it on to another modeller who needed it more than me, at the time.  I wonder if he ever used it?  Mind you, I can't guarantee when I'll actually do it........

Thank you, I have now obtained one Tiger (actually a complete kit, if anyone needs bits) and an offer of another hull.

I've also been told that the hull is too shallow for a Town, although OK for a Colony.  I'm not sure that I wanted to know that......

Well done Graham
Are you going to record your build in this thread or shall I lock it down

Yes, the HMS Tiger hull is ideal for a Colony class.  Here is a picture of two stalled projects of mine shown for comparison. Top is a Korean War HMS Belfast and below is a WW2 HMS Jamaica using Airfix HMS Tiger hull and decks and fittings from Airfix HMS Belfast:
