Registration Problems??

There have been numerous instances of new members being unable to complete registration for membership of the forum.  In all cases (apart from a banned word being used as a member's name) it has been caused by invalid email addresses! Without a valid email address it is impossible for registration to the forum to be completed.

It may be the case that the emails from this forum are being bounced by ISP's as being spam. If that is so, then you should add this forum's address to your white list and make sure it is not on an anti-spam filter. During the signing-up process, new members are sent an email giving details on how to complete the signing-up process. It also contains confirmation of their userid and password. If the email address they gave was false, then they cannot become an active member of the forum. This is to prevent spammers from joining the forum.

There is no need to worry about other members seeing your email address - they can't, even when emailing you via the forum.  Only I, as site owner, and other administrators can see your address.

If you have not received any emails from this forum within twenty-four hours of signing up, contact me at the email address at the top of the page. If I don't hear anything within seven days of the new member signing up, then the account will be deleted.

Note:  should you try and sign up to a second account because your email address has changed or you want a different name, then the second account will be deleted.  If you want a different name, then PM me. If you want to change your email address, then just logon and change it.

If on signing up your account is not made active immediately, please DO NOT create another account as neither of them will be activated and you will be assumed to be a spammer. We are entitled to time away from the forum and so it may take a little time to process registrations.

If, on signing up, you get a message to say that you have been banned, then it may well be because your email address is hosted on a domain that has been banned due to spammers.  There are too many to list them all here but one notable domain is Gmail.com (Google Mail). If you wish to sign up using Gmail then you should send an email to the contact address at the top of the page.
