Seaslug missile footage in 70s TV show

Thanks to being ill, I'm now exposed to the excitement of daytime TV (in small doses). Yesterday brought a real surprise in an old episode of UFO (anyone else remember it?) where they used some authentic-looking stock footage showing the loading a firing of Seaslug missile from a County Class destroyer (couldn't read the pennant number).

What an amazing piece of kit it looked - did no-one say anything to the designers about ballistic shaping?? But it did take down a target moving at Mach 5!

I also suspect that in one part of the episode one of Airfix's Devonshires was lurking in the deepest background of shot.

Great stuff

the WEM pe set has the Devonshire Seaslug launcher- looks like it would be really good made up.
