Stopped lurking

Dear all, I've been a lurker to this forum for some time now, and discovering quite a lot of fellows from the Missing Lynx DG over here I thought it was safe to become an ATF member!

In the old times, I tried lots of modelling categories, but for space reasons now I am sticking to 1/76 and 1/72 terrestrian stuff of the 1800-1945 period, that is figures, vehicles, artillery.

My modelling heyday was the 1990s. Strange you might think, but before there were few new kits and no Internet, and now there are too many high-tech kits and I feel I cannot cope with the show-winners on the web. So now I spend much more time lurking (and hoarding!) than building. Whistling

However there is an amazing sense of DIY is found here, especially in the "conversion" and "scratchbuilding" threads, and I simply had to become a member in order to be able to applaud to some of the very fine Gerald Scarborough style builds there - they are such a great source of inspiration. Regards, Pat
