I shall do something with the forward command post - exact details to be decided nearer the date.
What happened to the vac form base that used to come with the kit? Most disappointed to find it missing and the instructions relabelled with 'base not included'.

And I'm off!
At last...
FCP walls undercoated with a spray of Hu64.
Progress is likely to be limited today as although it's a weekend day with no other commitments my workshop was at - 1 °C this morning and the heater is struggling to make it even remotely habitable.

Have done a little more - the walls of the house have been sprayed white for the interior and the exposed interior and exterior stone surfaces painted in a couple of shades of brown. Not worth photographing yet though.
I like Ratch's idea of sneaking in a kit from another manufacturer into the diorama - I'm going to make an SHQ white metal kit of an M3/A3 recon light tank. Here's a couple of pics of the bits and the instructions - apologies for the low quality...

Some pics of the FCP -
inner and outer surfaces of the house now painted - base colour 'stone' painted over, leaving some of the undercoat visible then odd stones picked out in a couple of different shades.
Next step, when it's all thoroughly dry, is to start the washes to dirty it all up and (hopefully) blend it together somewhat.

Thanks guys!
Have made a start on producing some other material for the diorama - anybody remember these?

A bit more progress - basic assembly and painting of the FCP completed. I'm quite pleased with how this has turned out.
The kangaroo has also had its base painting and assembly completed.
The Linka, on the other hand, has been something of a disaster. The first batch of castings are far too fragile - almost impossible to release from the moulds.

Coming along nicely Paul
Have you thought about using resin to cast the linka sections? may be more sturdy
Cheers

Looks nice so far - is the M3A3 the Recce version?
Wonder what happened to my Linka set, been finding lots of old stufff recently but no sign of that so far....
