I'd certainly like to do the 'Ex-JB GB' too, but only once the Vickers MkVI is released in an Airfix box.

Would it be okay for an xjb gb to do the bowser and marry it to the cold war jets gb harrier gr1?

Why don't you build the Bowser anyway ? The Cold war build focus is on your Harrier. You could build the Bowser in the demo sub forum showing the rest of us how its done (especially the glazing !) Once both complete you could display them together as part of a diorama setting in both forums. I am sure it will be alright although I am often wrong on the interpretation of rules. I was trained by the Institute of Line Managers of which the official first three rules are
1) Rules are there to be bent
2) Be nice to staff
3) Don't Get Caught

As i type from my prison cell......

The user group has now been set up for the Airfix Lee/Grant Group Build

If you wish to take part in the Group Build, you must sign up using the Usergroup link at the top of the screen (above the Log in/Log out link).

Important: Do NOT sign up as a participant of a Group Build if you only want to view the threads!

To take part in the Group Build:

Click on "Usergroups"

In the "Join a Group" section, select " Airfix Lee/Grant Group Build"

Click "View Information"

Click on "Join Group".

I will get a start date poll underway as soon as possible

Cheers

Stu

don't know what happened but i thought i had posted a link to some one with 5 for sale

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAP...=fde0c46111c0a0aad2c050c0fff05f5b

would like to join but i think other projects need to take priority

but remember making this kit - only about 35 years ago!  happy days-  actually they were bloomin' awful-  making this kit was a welcome refuge from the nylon reality that was the seventies!

Well spotted Spudgun - that will teach me to read through my posts more carefully when I copy them over

Nice to see that you have your group build leaders head on already

Spudgun will be leading us in the ex JB Models Group Build that will follow the Lee/Grant build. We will be setting up the necessary for that build later in the year.

Cheers

PS - If they all arrive I will be doing three Nunshigum Lee/Grants (there is still some debate about which exactly they were).

I left it a whole day!

If I do get them all, I'd be happy to trade one or two of them for other kits from my Airfix Wanted List.  If not I'll build one of them as 'Lulubelle' from the film Sahara, if and when the 'Movie Special GB' kicks off.  The other will either end up as an ARV or as a generic 'Operation Torch' M3 to keep 'Shermanstein' company.

All the best
Sgt.S
PS - I may have just talked myself into keeping the lot.....Lee/Grants, what Lee/Grants?

Have you noticed that the Lee/Grant hasn't been crossed off your list yet?

In preperation for the GB, do we have a sprue shot or two that we could post in the 'Reference' thread?

It's been a really long time since I even looked at one of these, so I for one would like to know where I stand with the kit.

Just a thought, all the best
