Although the engine used on the captured spit was from a 110

Here's how to make that spit in 1/48

Ah, so THAT's it - from the previous post I was thinking of the 109 with a Merlin engine.  I wasn't expecting a Spit with a German powerplant.

As for colours - (without giving too much away) - I know what I need to do and how to go about it. But there will be a twist to it.

All part of the fun.  SEATNV (you'll find out later)

Cheers

Ordering kits is taking quite a while at the mo.... and if I posted the tokens for the kit today, I'd estimate it could take until mid January at least before I get.

Unfortunately our local hobby shop(s) don't have this kit either, so it could be a miss from me due to lack of kit.

Anyway - I had planned 3 versions including a twin and ground attack, but that's not to say it may appear in future at some stage.

At the moment I still need to find my Short Skyvan.
The extra parts are ready to go, but the cardboard box with the full kit in, is out of reach at the moment.
But since I have numbered all my boxes (1-to-25) with kits in and have an Excel spreadsheet, I know exactly where it is.

I’m really looking forward to this GB, it is so rarely I do other than “out of the box” models.

Happy and joyful GB to all of you.

Jesper.

Um....

One day? How did that happen?? I'll still be struggling with Meteor drones on the cold war jets GB for a little while but as you can see from my thread, I have everything I need for thunderbirds to be go. Am really looking forward to this one - everyone else's builds as much as mine.

Why do we still have a * status?
Someone might be a little reluctant to start cutting plastic.

All the best from jesper.

Am I  too late to join this group build Rich?......never done a group build before, but as you may have seen from my portfolio pics I love doing what-iffs (even before I‘d heard of the term what-iff  )...no problem if I am too late...I will enjoy seeing everyone’s top builds

It's never too late to enter an ATF GB   . If you would join the "Airfix What-if Special GB" usergroup here, I'll set a thread up for you. Welcome to your first GB!

The Super-Mossie....

Super-Long range–bomber/fighter/reconasance/VIP-transport

I have a special affection for the Mossie as my Grandad (as a joiner) made the wings in WW2

Tony your posts fill me with your own special brand of confusion. Are those astounding image manips or physical items you've produced yourself?

That lot are real. I made them up for an April Fool windup over on the Airfix Collector Forum.
They won't fool anyone close up, the materials are slightly different to the real thing, but from a few feet away they work.
Tony.
