The end result could presumably end up looking like this? _________________ circumveniat quod circumiret

The gelb was masked off and WEM RLM 02 Grau sprayed on, first coat thinned with artists turpentine. That stayed tacky for a long time, so I figure turpentine is out as a thinner for WEM paints. I sanded down that original layer and applied two more thinned with cellulose thinners, which worked out very nicely.
Masked off for the application of WEM RLM 71, first coat has gone on. Looking at the pictures I've just spotted two areas where I didn't trim off the excess tape overlay

The Kettenkraftrad is coming along, just got to finish the assembley of the front wheel and handlebars, and the generator and cover.

Looks great Rich,
a word of warning though the Sdkfz. 2 Kettenkrad did not reach service with troops until late summer 1941 and was probably later with Luftwaffe troops. _________________ I'd rather push a Dodge than drive a Champ

Main colours all on and the mottling applied - brush painted as this is what JG.26 did (they were busy and basically gave the painting to the dumbest, least useful sprog - paints, brushes, diagram - off you go!).
The Kettenkraftrad is pretty much done, just some minor details to add, and the driver to finish painting.

The Spitfire looks so strange in that camo. Nice going Rich, looking very good. _________________ For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times - before the Empire... |

Think it looks weird now?
It's going to take some getting used to once Gallands markings are applied. |

The Kettenkraftrad disappeared from my last post for some reason, here it is;
The colours on the Spitfire do look pretty amazing, I'm wondering about getting a Bf.109 and doing it in British colours to stand them side by side

There is a photo taken in UK after the war showing just that scene. It was on the net but do you think I can find it again !!!! _________________ Pax Britannica

Yeah, Rich, go for it. An RAF Bf109 would look great. _________________ For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times - before the Empire... |

Making the deadline by the skin of my teeth. Not all diorama components are finished (staff car and figures), so I'll add to them over time.
The Hollywood version with the Kettenkraftrad.
My figure painting needs work, particulary the faces, and I can see from the pictures I've broken the axle on the power unit - oops!
