I am currently working on the machine gun bays and was wondering what colour the ammo boxes were    I know the instructions call out Hu: 78 but I have a little niggle that they were either unpainted (basically aluminium) or that they were a darker green

If painted they would certainly be very chipped and battered Ratch.

I did a bit of (not very productive) searching, and the only picture I found was on Hyperscale, where they appeared to be in bare metal, so...

Although the gun bays looked OK, with a light behind them the gaps were more noticeable    so a bit od filling was needed

A dry fit of the wings is promising

A bit of hand painting

Now I need to decide what to do with the wheel well  Think

Onwards and upwards

She's coming along nicely Ratch. I don't envy you dealing with 'Figaro' on the breakout, a white outline will probably be needed so the body isn't lost.

I hadn't thought of that    I might apply the decal and go over the outline with a silver pen

Or you could paint the panel white/silver, place the decal and then carefully paint around it with the black using a small brush.

Looking great so far.
Your work with motor and pilot is really fab!
And I'm sure the rest will be up to the same, high standard.

Marry Christmas Ratch.

Cheers chaps  Cheers!

Following a couple of weeks of almost inactivity, this one feels like it's going too fast    But most of the hard work is done really, so I'm just running with my foot slightly on the brake so it doesn't get away from me
