Thanks - here the rest of pics - nothing great - just basin building at the mo

Underwing panels don't fit so so they needed scraping on edges - and sanding required for a flush fit.

Cannons completed - and exhaust stubs were drilled out, though they are quite ill fitting and look rather chunky. I've obtained some more wiring, I beam strips and tubing to do some more internal work - as well as a sheet of aluminium plate for extra armour and some replacement panels.

Seeing this is an F-8 - these were usually used to carry heavy bomb loads and subjected to high stress on the airframe.  I've tried something a little different by trying a stressed wing panels look.  Seen here exaggerated by the light by tipping it sideways to show stressed effect.  This is yet to be sanded over to achieve a smoother look.

It's been a while since any model stuff but may as well load up the big lag behind with this kit.
Alot of work gone on over the months so pics can tell story.  Kit still not finished.

No - this is a real pig - lots of sawing, scraping and cutting to get it all to fit properly.  Then again this is the 3rd one I've built so I'm familar with the faults and how to correct them.

It's in a later war scheme at present and codes/emblems/stencils and weathering all need to be done as well.  This will change the kit from a newish looking machine to an older looking worn out one. Also cut out armour plate panels and bombs for outer wings have been moulded - these just need racks and to be painted a mustard brown.

First time I've used airbrush this week in about 4 months - so I've had a good break!
