Good man!  Consider yourself press-ganged!

It's easy-peasy really, just a bit of polling and thread-creating to do, plus some whip-cracking when it runs (but that's not compulsory).

Think  RNAS...

what are my options

Fairey Firefly (02018) of the Fighter Interception Unit & RNAS No. 746 Squadron, Wittering, Apr – Aug 1944.
Handley Page 0/400 (06007) of 207 Squadron, R.N.A.S.

Technically the RNAS existed from 13 April 1912 until 1st April 1918, when it was absorbed into the RAF. After that the term 'Fleet Air Arm' is used until 1937 when the Navy regained control of naval aviation, in which case (as I understand it) the term 'Naval Air Branch' should be used until 1952 when it was re-named 'Fleet Air Arm'. Confused? I am!

Further confusion arises when the initials RNAS are used to refer to a Royal Naval Air Station.

From the list of aircraft used by the RNAS Airfix contenders would be:

DH4
DH9 (conversion from DH4)
Avro 504
HP 0/400
Sopwith Baby (conversion from Pup)
Sopwith 1-1/2 Strutter (kit bash 504/Pup/Camel)
Sopwith Camel
Sopwith Triplane (another kit bash)
Sopwith Tabloid (another Pup conversion)

That only scratches the surface as the RNAS had some 74 operational types in service.

I'll let somebody else list the FAA contenders.
