That's looking good.

I too got one of these off E-bay a while back and I nearly built it as part of this GB, but decided on the Super Mystere instead.

Cheers

It's looking good - the Airfix Mig 17 is one that has completely by-passed me over the years. I had not realised they ever produced one. It is clearly one to look out for.

This thread has seriously gone Off Topic since I've been away.

Thanks for all the best wishes. Really cheered me up. (Diane phoned and read your messages to me while in hospital) Ain't she sweet.

I'm OK now.
Part of my my small intestine is narrow (caused by me having Crohn's Disease) and once/twice a year it becomes blocked, causing agonising pain. usually a Vallium injection does the trick.... but not this time.

So off to hospital, they put me on a drip, with some nice stuff in it, started feeling better straight away.
The plan was for me to stay for a day or 2, but it didn't work out that way, due to me running very high temperatures at night, they wouldn't let me out!
Nothing worse than feeling well and being stuck in hospital. Especially seeing I was stuck in a ward with 3 elderly snoring women, and not a sexy nurse in sight.

Anyway 5 days later I'm home, happy & healthy(ish) and milking the episode for all I can get. "Diane get me my slippers..... and another pillow."

Hopefully I'll be back in building mode in a couple of days.
-Mark

I'm finally beginning to feel like my old self & am back into modelling mode

This week I've done the following:

Wings
Painted wheel bays & put the wings together, one played up a bit even with 1/2 dozen wooden pegs.

Wheels
Landing gear assembled & painted.

Fuselage
Went together perfectly without the cockpit, but only after lots of sanding/filing/scraping with the cockpit!!

Put in a couple of smallish sinkers in the nose, so hopefully it won't sit on it's tail. *fingers crossed*

Looks good so far.  This is yet another kit that I'm tempted to buy when I get the chance.
