A VERY popular mistake in that alot of enthusiast refer to Temporary Brick Construction, (TBC) buildings  as Maycrete's.
TBC as the name suggests are brick and have brick piers at 10ft. intervals and usually corrugated sheeting on the roof. If memory serves me right Maycrete are sectional concrete construction

This is a model of the Dinghy shed from my Grimsby dio. No apologies for the Black/white photo its just that i think certain things look better in B/W

TBC are quite easy to make and after my second tower, will build one to show how as i have yet to build the Gas + respirator store for my dio so the opportunity will present itself

Update on the 'twin'tower' that is going to represent the bomber satellite control tower. This in essence is the upgraded version of the 13726/41.
These often had the basic design as the Airfix kit and were lengthen to accomodate a crew  and 'Ops.' room. Despite being lengthed there was a need to go up and as such we have the version seeen at places like Grafton, Seigford, Ingham  to name a few.

Photo above shows the two TBC extension that i will be placing at each end and second photo shows these painted first color and with the roof supports in place ..... the original Airfix end sections are glued to each

Photo below gives you the idea of how it will look.

I over layed some model filler on those windows and doors that are not needed and i have now rubbed these down and again first paint.
A new balcony will be put on the front and also a new roof; i will utilise the stantions off the kit to complete both of these features.

I shall be putting in the first floor and have already painted the internal walls.
I have built the extension to add to the two kits used to show the potential, One these extn's could have been placed the rear and had the breifing room Nissen hut attached as seen at a few locations.

my usual cardboard template on the roof ........

Progressed a little more so a few pics before Monday when i hope to have it finnished
Paste in the corners and the 'penthouse' built from combining the two Airfield kits ....

Rear shot for a change ........

I have completed the balcony with its rails and the roof has been done as you can see. Again combining the two kits gave me enough stantions with a dozen left over. Need to put some glazing in the 'penthouse' and also the airfield runway board needs to be done.
I improve the main front windows by painting smaller panes
rather than leaving big windows and the hazards that employs

                 Overall length is 370mm.

Now tape up the windows, fit the outside tap and fit a cycle shed for 14 bikes at one end. (I don't know why it was always 12 bikes).
Two extinguishers out side the entrance, and a fag end bin about 6' from the door. Also a couple of metal dustbins with lids fitted  (and handles aligned for show, often polished to look smart, but never painted, with white-washed brick borders around them. For some reason they used to have a small garden patch across the front, more like a 3' border but about 10' from the building, just to make it look pretty I suppose, again with the whitewashed brick edging. It might have been because it was an important building. Complete BS really.
Don't forget the heating was often coal/coke fired, so a chimney of sorts might be needed. If it was a posh base there would be a live steam heating supply from a separate building, this was laid in a 2' 8" concrete lined trench with 3'x2' slabs laid over to make a walkway and duct. Still in place on most RAF stations. Sometimes the 'crash' office was in the tower too on the ground floor.
