This is my effort,  BuNo 0285,  from VT-3 on the USS Saratoga in February 1938.

This aircraft was lost during the Battle of Midway,  (4th of June 1942),   while attacking the carrier IJNS Hiryu.   It was still with VT-3,  but had been recoded "1" and was by this time operating from the USS Yorktown.   Both crew members losing their lives.

Brush painted with acrylics.

Here Is my TBD Devastator of Torpedo squadron VT-6 aboard the Enterprise circa March 1941. The model depicts 6-T-4 Build No.0325 the very last Devastator to be retired in 1944.
