3 more photos of the completed model as promised.
I have really enjoyed this Group Build. The AIRFIX Devastator is one of those kits that was produced quietly in the ?1960s and is a real gem. I know that it has minor faults (what kit hasn't?) and perhaps the kit decal sheet could do with updating, but it is wonderful value for money. Give it a go if you ever get the chance. Maybe some aftermarket decals (as mine from TECHMOD) will help it. Like many AIRFIX kits the colour schemes, markings and squadron choices are very numerous. So you can still make your individual TBD-1,
Congrats to all the other participants in this GB. Some very fine models have been constructed and finished here.
Ron. |

| That's a nice looking job. The combination of colour scheme with monoplane makes this either a throw-back or something in advance of its time. |

Very nice Ron. It is a great little kit and one I've never built before. I will follow your advice and purchase a Techmod decal sheet.

Now that looks really nice. I shall have to have a go at that kit at some stage.
