A little update.
I have made and installed a hood ornament from soldered copper wire.
Gromit is now safely placed inside the van. I have also added a picture of “Totty” on the dashboard.
It is made from a grabbed movie frame.

He says I make him blush, and then adds even more embellishments that make the model live!
I think we really need some photos of this for the SMW stand. _________________ Bubbly! |

Thanks guys!
It is a really fun project to do, especially if you, as me, appreciate all the charm and love Nick Park puts into the films.
Have you actually noticed how many of Nick Park’s figures look like himself?
I think he has practised in front of a mirror to start with, and transferred some of his own features and personality into his figures.
I think this is the most involving project I have done in a very long time, and I love it all the way.
I know I have made some harsh comments about the kit, and I think rightfully so.
But if you make your own alterations, you can end up with a really great model.
You sure have a great starting platform with this kit.
With kind regards from jesper. _________________ Feel free to visit my Portfolio. |

The hood ornament looks superb - that's very fine work indeed. _________________ "It's life Jim, but not as we know it!" - Dr McCoy
