Not a lot. I've attached the tailplanes and I'll be filling the gaps this evening. Should have some pics in a day or two.

Filling and sanding completed I've added the small vents & scoops and given it a coat of primer.

I can't decide whether to paint the white stripes on the wings and tailplanes or use the decals. Think

I probably will paint as the decals may show the other colours through the white. I could use them as patterns for the masking tape.

Ayup Tim...

Looks a lovely Magister... Paint it ! maybe you shoulda primed in white. that would have sorted out ONE colour, and which would have been ok for Decal placement too !

Very nice.  Beautifully crisp canopy frames!

The Magister was one of the first kits I ever built completely on my own.  Didn't follow the kit scheme at all - went for an all over muddy green!

Anyway, me too for the 'paint it' option

Over the past couple of nights I've given the wings & tailplanes two coats of Hu34 and two coats of Tamiya Gloss White acrylic.

I'll mask the white and paint the red areas next and then move on to the blue.

More progress. Here it is after I'd painted the red bits.

Last night I gave it a coat of Hu14 overall and another coat around the wings and tailplanes before going to bed so I could get the masking tape off.

I'll be giving the rest of it another coat of blue tonight and then it'll be on to the decals after I touch up the red &white.

Painting the white was the right decision, I can't imagine the decals would have looked as good.

Ayup Tim...

Stupendous ! Ilove the Cockpit and pilot from what i can see of it. really lovely and crisp. it looks like you've only had a little white 'bleed, so no worries about touch-ups, eh?

Thanks Stu...

I've got a bit around the wing roots but apart from that I'm pleased with the results.

That looks great Tim! Nice sharp demarcation lines between the colours.

I put the decals on over the weekend. I had trouble getting the stripes straight but they turned out OK. Just some touching up to do and little fiddly bits to add and it'll be done.

Finished it last night. A nice little kit which went together well. I managed not to lose any of the smaller parts to the carpet monster.

It sits so low that it fits underneath the Do335 I built last month!
