Thanks for the kind comments guys
Almost there..........
Sorry no pics tonight.
Airframe painting and details complete , will Klear tomorrow ready for decals.
Canopy masked , ready for a lick of paint.
Still a bit of work to do on the weapons , but this ,for me , is quite a quick build and Im really enjoying my first GB

ps ...just realised I had a PE set for the F3   ...might try to use a few bits on the model.

Painted the canopy , bit of help thanks to Mr Eduard .

Drop tanks painted , this aircraft obviously borrowed a GR Tornados grey/green tank , the other tank is painted Medium Sea Grey , another that was pinched me thinks !!

Bang seats in , HUD added ( holographic confetti ) , canopy on.
Decals from kit , Hasegawa, Italeri and Modeldecal .
This is what it looks like tonight ....

I have a thing with 11 Sqn , got 2 Lightnings in their markings and my fave F3 , the first black fin Mighty Fin... ZE 764 tail code DH which makes my username DH764 !!

Spent many an afternoon watching them and wanted something to remind me of Leemings busy time when it was 11 , 23 and 25 Sqn F3s buzzing over your head   .....miss those days

No pics tonight....( might not be any for a bit ....left me battery charger in the cottage we stayed at in Ambleside  )

Undercarrige on and still messing on with the weapons fit , no location pins on the ALARMS , or on the pylon "adaptors " for them.....very tricky to fit but getting there....woops nearly forgot to decal the weapons before I fit them

Even though I Kleared the canopy its misted a bit
OH BOTHER !!!

Andy

Did you use glue to fix the canopy? Use Humbrol clearfix  in the future instead if you did, it certainly will not mist the canopy.

For some insane reason which I cant remember ( probably because it was closer to me   ) I used super glue instead of my usual method , white glue ....oh well ...I can always pass it off as a lot of condensation on a very hot day
