Ayup MacT...
Amazing... Such a radical change to the 'Standard' 109 profile...
Nice model... _________________ Airfix Member 022... Jolly Boy.

Two coats of klear and the Owl aftermarket decals have been added. It's very nearly finished now.

Certainly a different look to the Emil!
I really like your work on the radar. _________________ Bubbly! |

Thanks guys for the kind comments. I'm away on a sailing trip for the next 9 days (circumnavigating the Isle of Mull). I'll complete the final details of the build when I return. _________________ Airfix Club member |

Okay, I didn't fall overboard, but was absent from this forum because I had a huge amount of work to see to when I got back from sailing.
The Bf109 is finished now. I like this almost black look on the Bf109. The Owl decals pleased me too, they sealed in well with Microsol and Klear before a couple of coats of Mattcote. I did a bit of weathering with an HB pencil.
Another black "nightstalker"

Fantastic.....I really do like this build, it's a very novel use of the Airfix kit and is most definitely a true 'Nightstalker'.
All the best
