Given the model a base coat of Hu87. This photo also shows the replaced prop spinners. The kit items are too pointy.
I think they're the short spinner option from the Italeri Spit V:
Also the G-6 I've decided upon was fitted with FuG220 tail warning radar, so the attachment point was fashioned from some Contrail rod:
I'm waiting for some Quickboost gun barrels I ordered, which include two for the Schragemusik as well as those for the belly pack.
I'm somewhat at a loss as to how to adequately show the camouflage though, as the darker colour is very sparingly applied. _________________ Bubbly! |

| Nicely done so far. I will check, but I thought that the gun pack was central on the ventral. You might be right ... after all, you have the Osprey book, and my thoughts were based on my vague memory of the AMT kit. |

With the arrival of these:
I felt it only right to complete the painting:
The Hu87 base coat was stippled liberally with Hu79. When this was dry another stippled coat of Hu87 was put over to soften the Hu79.
It came out better than I expected! _________________ Bubbly! |

I got a 'Hurricane Scrapyard' in the post yesterday and found that there was an almost complete 02042 in there.
I couldn't resist using it. Here's about an hours worth of work:

And completed:
This'll annoy somebody but I've been bitten by the bug and am going to build a pair of Beaufighters next
Best amend the title to builds! _________________ Bubbly! |

Two great looking builds, especially the Ju88.
I'm sure I've seen that Hurricane somewhere else. _________________ So many kits, so little time |

It's the only Hurri Nightfighter scheme that I could find in the decal that wasn't MkIIC. (I've already got 'SW-S')
I didn't have a BoB 50th Anniversary stand-alone boxing to hand (the old 02096), and the new one isn't out yet _________________ Bubbly! |

Next up I'll be playing with a nice pair of Bristols!
(I had to get it in otherwise walrus would have )
First up blanking the rocket mounting holes in the lower wings:
Because of my 3rd Anniversary build I thought a quick engine comparison was needed. The top row are the Pegasuses from the Sunderland and the bottom are the Hercules from the Beaus.
I decided to play mix and match. Those Pegasus are way too large for the C Class IMO so they're going to be put to use here:
My second one is going to be a MkVIF with AI MkVIII 'thimble nose' radar:
The thimble is an Anson turret with the slot filled, and will be fixed to the fuselage via a 4000lb bomb end:
Filling of various holes:
Undercarriage fitted. As mentioned in the Airfix Guide No.2 on Aircraft modelling, these were shortened by 1/16th of an inch.

The first one will be made up as the black IF 'RO-B', "Bambi" of 29 Sqn.
The MkVI is going to be a Dark Green/Medium Sea Grey 'WM-L', of 68 Sqn _________________ Bubbly!
