Tonight's pictures; It's only after I uploaded them that I realised they were almost like a flick book!

I lost the aerials & the two cannon barrels (?) that stick out of the wings. so found a spare aerial & scratch built the cannon barrels from some bits in the spares box.

The Klear looks awful in that last photo, but the flash did it very few favours. I'll do the decals in a little while, & then I've got to decide which colour to paint the exhausts... Any recommendations?

Will this be 2 in 24 hours?

Are you going for a trifecta?

Job done!

Thanks for the compliments chaps. I don't really have a target Minty, but I've got a fair few on the "to do list." I'm a massive fan of nightfighters & as such I've not built any since the GB was announced, so I've got a bit of a backlog!
I've just started a Defiant, but that's not getting done as quickly as I'm going to Chester vs AFC Bournemouth tomorrow, it's such an important match my stomach is turning already...

Anyway, I'm waffling, more pics of the spit in the Gallery.

This is how you get a big collection in a short space of time: lots of straightforward builds!

Got something a little more challenging lined up for after the Defiant?

A mossie, so not really... I'm not mad on bigger aircraft as my only storage space is a bookshelf in a different house, & as such transporting larger aircraft can be difficult, & if they don't fit on the shelf, I don't really have anywhere to put them! I'll also do a Beaufighter depending on how quickly the "window bleaching trick" works on some old ESCI decals. Lots to come yet!

Nice result. I have never seen a black Spitfire before. It looks really good.

Two really nice fastbuilds.

If you build any faster, you may get a blackout

Btw, just trying the windows bleaching trick on my ESCI decals too.
Last time I tried a set of old ESCI's, I had to put them on wet onto the future. No glue at all left on them.

made progress on the defiant tonight

will be doing the decals after this little break! Slow for me (5+ days) as I've had some very fiddly biplanes taking up all my build time...

Yeah but he cheats  ,   he doesnt paint pilots...They can taken an annoying amount of time, with all those different colours and fiddly bits.

Very good quick builds there George.

Haha! charming! I actually did paint pilots for a long time, but eventually ran out (even after getting an extra supply from a very generous ColinM!) so I started building without them & just never started again after I realised how much time it saved. besides, as I build wheels down they kind of look out of place sat in a parked plane!

True, i have often wondered with the Ac being dirty and the prop stationaly that a pilot in there would be a rarety.

If you need some pilots i have some

Thanks for the offer, but since I stopped using them, I've built up quite a stockpile myself!
