No problem! The delay wasn't that painful
At least now I've got a complete kit as I found some "ugly duckling" parts that said F167 and Made in Russia in the box.
After a raid in the scrapbox I found the missing parts enough to make at least 1 pure Airfix Swordfish.
Boxart, instructions and parts.

It's gonna be converted into a
Swordfish Mk.III with ASV Mk.XI radar
from 119.SQN RAF based in Belgium in january-may 1945...
and with decals from an old ESCI sheet.

Fuselage halves painted with Agama Aircraft grey-green.
Agama is btw the company that make the paints for Xtracrylix. _________________ Cheers, Jan

Wings and fuselage glued and the fit was almost perfect.

Me too.....I've been collecting bits for a Stringbag build myself and the very aircraft that you have chosen to model was one of the subjects I was most interested in.
For what it's worth, all the best

Upps! Only three days left...
I folded a plasticard as a roof over the radar operator.

The first step to make a radar pod.
Plasticard in sections and then fill everything up with sprues and putty

I guess, it requires some sanding...
In the background, the donated landing struts. _________________ Cheers, Jan

The "nice one" after sanding together with the donor, hangar queen or christmas tree or whatever you can call it.
I noticed there were a lot of parts missing.
Luckily I have a large scrapbox, but 20 year old Humbrol no 11 wasn't the easiest to get rid off, not even with strong oven cleaner.

Also the radar pod is ready...

At least at the beginning.
Then I made a crack in the upper wing....
I manage to solve it but now one of the struts is loose instead

The old ESCI decals were almost unusable, so I had to find some spares in my scrap box.
The only ESCI decal that I used was the yellow duck. I hade to wash off all old solvent and place it wet in a coat of Humbrol 35 and then brush another layer over it as a protection.
