Making great progress there Ratch. I don't envy you building in red plastic though, but I am sure it will look good when the wheels etc are painted and fitted.

Mini build all right-  now I know why so many were made....

That underside looks spot on too. Are you going to do a white roof with the Union Jack on it?

Things have been ticking along s_l_o_w_l_y

painting and fabrication mostly

I thought I'd better take stock of the missing components  Think
hub cap - I've cut one from Platikard, but it lacks the profile of the other three - Options:
    1. fit all four (including my poorly made version)
    2. fit two kit ones to the rear wheels only (hiding my poorly made off-side rear stub axle)
    3. fit none, but expose my poorly made off-side rear stub axle

 Juggling
parcel shelf - I've cut one from Plastikard and painted it - good enough to serve purpose
rear bumper, half is missing - difficult to fabricate, might just leave it off
front bumper - difficult to fabricate, might just leave it off
headlamp lens - should be able to use ClearFix
boot handle - might just forget about it

The kit includes no rear view mirror, but it should be scratchable

Don't forget the oil-soaked sump on the underside - every Mini I ever owned had this!
