I've sanded down the ejector pin marks, filled the unwanted bomb location points and taken my pin vice to make location holes for the rigging
She's also received a very primary coat of orange
I have two of these to build and The Hamlyn Concise Guide to BRITISH AIRCRAFT OF WORLD WAR II illustrates a Series 2 in this colour and a Series 2A in the more conventional Trainer Yellow, so I shall do one of each for a bit of variety _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

An update for yesterday and today
I painted everything before assembling
There aren't many parts, and I'm leaving off the armaments anyway
Getting the wings and struts right (or near enough) is a pain
In the end I used a Lego jig
Everything will need re-painting
And I've added (what I presume to be) an exhaust pipe _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

From one extreme to the other (well almost) and I'm on to the Mighty Hunter
Sprue 'A'
Sprue 'B'
Sprue 'C'
Sprue 'D'
'E' sprues
I began by removing the bone-domes and changing them to something more casual
A spot of wheel painting
I'll be making an MR.2, so the third window back on the port side needs blocking off I thought about just painting over the clear part, but decided to do it properly - blanking off the back of the window with Plastikard
Masking around the aperture
then using Humbrol Model Filler...
...and sanding back
So, time to join the fuselage
I crammed the void forward of the landing gear with white metal (and hot-melt glue), but forgot to take a piccy
but I think the CofG is OK
more to come _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

Generally I've been quite impressed with the fit of the parts so far, although I may need to fill and sand the upper fuselage to lose the seam

Well done Ratch, looks ace!
It's great to see you ripped open the bag and did what was intended for these old rare kits -to build 'em!!
How about doing a Demon for comparisson as the mold was altered?

I shall have to make a decision soon
Whether to
1. drop the flaps and have the bomb bay closed up
or
2. open the bomb bay, show off the stores and have the flaps in their normal position
The u/c is going to be down and the crew is aboard, so should it look like its just landed or that its being prepared for a sortie _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

Filling and sanding at the moment The wing roots might not have needed it if I'd taken more care (or had eight more hands ) when assembling them, and the small ridge on the top seam of the fuselage was annoying me, so that's been done too
Meanwhile, I've been working on the stores - glueing, sanding and painting _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

Love the Hawker Hart!
Nice job on the Nimrod crew too.....Your modifications have given them much more character. I hope they are visible when it's all closed up.
All the best

Cheers Andy, I think I'm favouring displaying the stores at the mo, and yes it will be a pity if the crew are completely obscured _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here
