That's looking really good Ratch, I'm certainly looking forward to seeing the finished article, I've got a thing about 190s but never had the bottle (or space!) to tackle the big one.

Wheel wells should be RLM 02

It's not too late to fix that ... call it RLM 66 pre-shading.

My instructions state HU78 for the wheel wells ! but then again my references state that each factory producing a FW190 used to paint the aircraft with what ever was at hand and as the paint could often be home produced there was never a common standard for any particular RLM.

for e.g RLM66 could be RLM66 or a different shade altogether depending upon which factory was mixing the paint.

I have to say the wings look twisted if anything. was there anything fouling the wing and body in the wheel well at all? or is it too late now?

I think cement laid on with a trowel may be a better bet.

Seriously though,Humbrol filler spread with a cotton bud or spatula will easily fill the gaps.

Shame about the fit issues, it looks like an otherwise very impressive kit. I'm sure the result will be excellent - keep on with the brute force and ignorance.

The gun bay looks a little empty. Without having my kit handy, Ratch, is there anything left to go in it? If not, I would have some pics to help "pad it out".

You can see from this that the panels don't fit too well

so I've added some framework

with a view to doing this

just a loose placement y'know

Aiieee.....The horror!

I'd say your idea is very, very wise given the slightly less than precise fit of those panels.....How on earth did the parts get into that state, is this mould deteroration or have the parts always been like that?

TIA & All the best
