Stirling idea, Thomas. There's a new plea on the "Wanted" thread.

I'm pretty sure these nasty yellow things will soak off ok, there's no varnish on top of them yet.

Aye
Chris

You could try exposing them to the sunshine, seeing as there is plenty about at the moment. The yellow should still bleach out, just as it would if the decal sheet had been pinned to a window. Take care the plastic doesn't go droopy though!

I'll give that a go, thanks.

Affixed transfers have improved slightly while work and sailing have intervened, but with Tim's rescue set in the post, tomorrow evening I'll be soaking them off.

Not much to report, but:

Old transfers soaked off no problem
Thanks Tim for the replacement set.  Cheers!
Replacement tail swastikas from Xtradecal X72036, but no black outline stencils of the kit size, so I've used white outlines. I'm happy with those.
First go at using Micro-Sol... will improve with practice I'm sure.
First coat of satin on and looking ok.
Re-polished canopy with uPVC restorer, much better

So, nearly done. Daylight phots to follow, I expect to get this cracked by the deadline but I lose the next week or so to other things.

Yours aye,
Chris

So there it is, my first group build completed. I really benefitted from the help and support of other members, many thanks for that. One Fw 190 F8, bombed up and ready to play:

Yours aye,
Chris

A brilliant and traditional looking 190.  Well done!

Thanks! The finish is 1 x satincote, 1 x Klear, a combination that I haven't used before.

That's a lovely build, of one of my favourite kits. I was 9 when this was released and I remember the completed kit hanging from my bedroom ceiling on fishing line. It didn't look anywhere near as nice as that though!
