RLM 76 on the upper wing camo, and 74 underneath? It's illogical, but I won't argue _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |

It's actually an unspecified 'lichtgrau' according to EagleCals. As I said, this whole aircraft is a mess!
It seems to have started off as RLM 83 over 'Luftwaffe Sky', but the wings are RLM 83 over 'lichtgrau' on top and natural metal aft of the main spar and RLM 74 forward of the main spar underneath (as a primer??). It has then had the nose overpainted in RLM 82, and bits of the tail and rear fuse overpainted in RLM 81 or 83. To cap it all, the ailerons and rudder are in RLM 76 (ailerons painted in the topside colours on the upper face) and the tip of one wing has been overpainted in RLM 76 underneath!
According to EagleCals the available photos have been analysed with the aid of computers so I'm not going to argue too strongly. I dare say in 1945 the rule book went by the board somewhat... |

By 1945 the FW190s were been painted with whatever was in the paint shop regardless of any official colour schemes.
Your FW's look good |

Which is why I wasn't arguing, but it does seem funny for a GERMAN plane to have dark undersides (JV 44 excepting). But for breaking up the outline, it might have been ok. I don't know that the Dora was ever used as a nightfighter, but that camo is probably more appriate for night than day fighting. |
