I shall begin by doing a Mosquito VI of the Banff Strike Wing that was on anti-submarine patrols during D-Day.
As I'm not sure where I'll be going after that just amending my title to 'Builds' would be a good idea guv'nor. _________________ Bubbly! |

When the time comes you can have another thread or I'll amend the title accordingly .

Here goes:
Straight into pre-assembly painting. Wings are already together with rocket mounting holes drilled.
The basic cockpit construction underway:

More progress. Anyone would think I've built one of these before.

Painting and decalling finished:
Ordnance painted.....
....and fitted
I've never felt that the staggering of the rockets looked right, but then on every other aircraft they aren't.
Finished:
For my next I shall be making a Hurricane IIc of 1697 (ADLS) Flight. _________________ Bubbly! |

Great build.
I'm thinking of building a Mossie myself. _________________ So many kits, so little time |

| I like that very much, a simple but really striking scheme. |

On with my second build: a Hurricane IIc of 1697 (ADLS) Flight.
The Aviation Workshop sheet talks about a 1555 Flight(?) and shows MW339 with only fuselage stripes and no weapons.
All photos I've seen are in full AEAF stripes with cannons intact, with the exception of MW339 with neither at a later date.
As with all Hurris construction is a swift affair:
I stopped at this point in order to add the stripes. Masking up is much easier before wings and fuselage are joined! _________________ Bubbly! |

Almost done already:
Quick question: Where does this reside in the Gallery?
It's not 02042 or 02082 although I've seen her in both.
I have done a couple of Airfix ones before I joined the forum but put them in the Heller thread, as I didn't feel confident enough to bring up the question.
When it was released as an individual item in 1990 the kit number was 02096, which is now given over to the NEW Hurricane IIC.
Could those wonderful fellas in charge come up with a solution please! _________________ Bubbly! |

That's where it should go as far as I'm concerned
Some of mine are probably in the wrong threads and need moving _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

Thanks for the clarification Ratch.
I'll sort a thread once it's finished and then ferret out the others so you know what to transfer to it. _________________ Bubbly! |
