I thought that the military AOP in the kit was for the Police Action in Malaya ... _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |

| Without checking , I thought it was in use in Germany . I recently came across a picture of an Auster in Malaya fitted with loud speakers for broadcasting propaganda , I think it was a technique the British had used in the Middle East in the 1920's and was called Sky Shouting . |

Because it sells well without the goodies
You will be asking them to put the correct rotation propellor on it next ! _________________ Pax Britannica

It isn't actually like a real AOP, a complete new tail is required for that, and a change of engine cowling, change of propellor, and bigger flaps, I'm not certain but I think it should have a bigger wing, bigger wheels, other than that ....... ... er ..... or another kit .
I prefer the Beaver anyway
EDIT:
What I wrote above about making it a real AOP, is not correct, those modifications would make it an AOP 9
The only components which need changing are the clear panel with the teardrop blister on it (the real one contained navigation equipment specially for the work in the Antarctic) and the wheels which are undersize.
An internal framework would be a very nice addition to the kit.
The tailplane and fin/rudder should be larger than in the kit to make it suitable for the work in the Antarctic. This was removed from WE600 after it returned to normal AOP duties. _________________ Pax Britannica
