ian let me know what you get from all of the members above as i have sent them alot of info over the years( and i can not remember what i did not send to them). that way i dont clog your email box with info that the others have sent on.
i too have lots of info on the diferent stores containers and the autherised equipment fitting weights and loads, i also have info on how to pack various equipment and wepons into the containers, how to prepare wepons ect for droping attached to the indevidual troops and how to attach a parachute for independant dropping.
i have no trouble passing on any info that i have found. i just ask that no one publish what i pass on just yet ( i have a dream to publish somthing in the "near future".
i notice on the web site you have a mk5 in the works. how is the mk 5 conversion going. if required i will have a look and see what info have.
another small add on conversion that might sell (which i have details on) would be the 500 lbs gp bomb rack and cradles that were fitted to transport aircraft to carry and drop the various stores canisters (i have had a few ask for details on construction and placment on c47s)
keep in touch

I'm Glad you two are in touch.....Credit where credit is due and all that!

Can't wait to get my hands on the conversion set, if it happens to become available before the 'D-Day GB' ends, I'll build one.....Just for hewman100!

All the best
Sgt.S
PS - Any chance of some nice interior bits in the set?

Then,  I s'pose it would behoove me to show how you could have done just as good a job without the set.

thanks everyone for the references, work has begun, here's a quick question, stirling v has i believe a clear nose...why as she was a cargo carrier and the nose hinged up to load freight. seems a bit pointless but i'm sure there's a good reason

The Mk V whilst a cargo carrier could I believe still be used for airdropping and as such required a clear panel for the supply dropper to aim from - a requirement that remained in Def Stan 00-950 until quite recently.

quick question for all stirling buffs, is it me or is the airfix kits dimple running from just under the cockpit front to the lower edge of the front turret lower edge a figment of their imagination?
all pics i've looked at dont show it.

For Sarge and anyone else these are main parts that need converted.
I did this over 15 years ago using a nose from a company called Canovac which I obtained some 30/35 years ago.   The rest was scratch built.

The rather sloppy painting has been tidied up after I saw the photos!!!!
