Thanks Ratch.

By way of update I thought I had lost a part whilst the E-Boat sat patiently waiting attention.

In the weekend I visited the modelling area in barefeet stood on something it was my lost part. It was great news but "Murphys Law I had already started scratchbuilding a replacement.

Cheers

Heres an update and I am honest to say I stole this idea from Dave. I hope this is in order Dave.

I have set up the model as waterline or complete hull.

I used some sprue on the lower hull so I can take the upper hull of and on.

Hi

The Airfix kit comes with some hull stands which I wanted to use during construction so I lined them with some Tamiya masking tape to rest the painted lower hull upon.

Here are some shots with the propellers on:

More updates to follow.

Got the old paint brush out and undercoated the propellers.

Yes the colour is rather garish but that will be fixed in the final detailing.

Latest update

The rear gun deck sight was solid so I hollowed it out hope you can make it out.

I tried to make the centre hole larger and to insert a sight however the plastic (which is pretty soft and rubbish) broke therefore I just left it alone.

Coming along nicely now, I have yet to pluck up courage and start the painting, am trying to clear a few of the less involved outstanding group builds first.

Cheers
