I know what you mean Stu.
I had to sit there and force myself to break my modellers block and just do it.
Here are some images of all the other stuff with some paint on them:
A long way to go yet.
Cheers

I enjoy seeing the progress here. It's like watching a building being constructed--slow and careful. Much more patience than I have! I suppose that's why I'll never be a "pro"! _________________ “Build what YOU want, the way YOU want to, and above all, have fun.”

nothing to do with the constuction ( a nice build by the by ) . probably missing something silly , but why is this kit so much dearer than the likes of the RAF rescue launch or the MTB ? . is it a bigger kit or a newer moulding ? .
cheers . |

Hi Dockyard matey
I havent really compared prices or sizes as I am only really interested in German stuff.
This Airfix is not a new kitset circa 1975.
Not sure of the real reason for the price difference but I know even way down here in the Colonies it aint a cheap kit.
Now its time to attack the life preservers with some light paint:
Cheers

It's much bigger than the RAF Launch and Vospers MTB. However, it's the same size as Revell's (newer) Schnellboot S-100, which is in the style of most of the wartime "E-boats".
It sure looks like you're learning a valuable lesson in masking, too. If in doubt, cover up!
For those small areas, you might try a *little* bit of isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud, and gently rub the overspray, or try a very light sanding with fine sandpaper. You might even like the uneven effect ... _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |
