How about a sponsored diet? I could do with losing (cough) a few kilos (cough). I'm willing to take one for the forum, watch me endure beer and cake withdrawal symptoms, weekly updates on the paunches progress! Frankly, I could do with the motivation and encouragement! I'd post a picture of my extra "shelf", but it's a family site and Dave would ban me!

Anybody else out there care to join me, anybody be willing to sponsor the lettuce dodgers?

why not make it a real very hard quiz:

one question and a list of say 10 answers

Each attempt £5.00

as many tries as you want (all £50.00 if they like)

The question must be a really impossibly difficult one though.

A lot of 'book lernin' to find the answer (the skill)

A good guess could win it ( a bit of chance)

a collection of prizes to be shared with all the winners.

All payments that can be made by Postal order would cut out the fees

Paypal for overseas entries.

If the winner(s) want(s) the prize(s) they pay their own postage.

They could always pass it back for the next quiz.

Just to let you know that I haven't forgotten this thread! On the contrary, I am working on a new web site so that we will be able to make donations, pay entry fees and have a shopping cart should we sell merchandise and items. I hope to launch both the new site and our first fundraiser at the end of April/beginning of May.

BTW, keep your ideas coming in for ways of raising funds.

Dave

A quick progress report on the fundraising work. I have completed the work on the new ATF web site which will host the quizzes, donations etc for this years fundraising. The first "quiz" will take place on 1st May and run for three or four weeks with an entry fee between £2 and £5. It isn't so much a quiz as a single, simple question with a simple answer. More details will follow nearer the time.

BTW, despite not having started the official fundraising yet (1st May being the start date), we have already raised £24 from donations.
