I'm afraid it's more likely an absentee guru, who's been moving house and still doesn't have an internet connection!
Sorry, I'll try to get my bum in gear and sort things out over the next couple of days! _________________ Cheers,

I agree boss, but the last one was a single subject (Fw190).
I feel we should wait for the new MkIX before committing on that one
Unless you think that as most of the usual suspects partook in the D-Day GB that another themed build would be too soon?
Just my tuppence.... _________________ Bubbly! |

Good point about the new IX Ian
My thought was, although we had a Spitfire GB in 06, that was for all brands and maybe it was time to have a GB for one of Airfix's iconic models
The GB Guru will decide
Plenty of time for more suggestions _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

| Can we try to organise th GBs so that the the theme/specific build rotation gives us a themed group build next summer? For, say, the Battle of Britain? |

Two choices to put forward for the theme build for me anyway are
USN aircraft 1930 - Present
TAC 1946 - 1992
They both have a broad range of subjects available through Airfix in different scales. |

I think the Battle of Britain 70th may be covered by a Special next year.
Looking back some of the near misses in the past have been:
Canberra
Jaguar
Nimrod
TSR.2
Defiant
When talking elsewhere about Lanc VIs a Lancaster GB was suggested
Aircraft of the Eastern Front
USN GB (Land or Carrier based)
Aircraft of the Silver Screen
Captured aircraft
Spanish Civil War
CBI/SEAC _________________ Bubbly! |

We've had five aircraft builds this year, not bad at 2 months a pop, but what's happening about the next one _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

Hey all
Not sure if this is a litle to general but what about a jet bomber GB? A Silver screen GB also sounds good. _________________ ''He changed the result by measuring it'' - Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth

Seeing as it's out there (MkIX) shall we make the next one (after the CBI/SEAC) a Spitfire one as the boss suggested earlier? _________________ Bubbly! |

I must say I like the idea of the now and then build. Be great to get to grips with both old and new JE*J. _________________ ''He changed the result by measuring it'' - Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth

Would it be just the Mk IX or all marks and scales? _________________ Airfix Club 500006 |
