Ex JB Build could be good I would participate in that,

Cheers,

Some good ideas there chaps

I think a poll is called for to see which is favourite

Just to be clear we have the following suggestions:

Spudgun - Former JB Models Group Build

Jesper - Post WW2 Group Build

Dan - Land  Rover Group Build

As previously mentioned the JB Models GB would feature only Airfix boxings, so any of the kits currently now available  from Airfix could be built, no JB boxings.

The post WW2 would presumably feature the Centurion, Sheridan, Scorpion, Chieftan, Bloodhound and Leopard, if you can lay your hands on one, as well as most of the former JB range now boxed by Airfix. I believe that there was also a 1/35th scale Challenger kit available in an Airfix box so I guess that that would also fit the  bill and of course many WW2 vehicles/guns saw service with various nations well past 1945.

Finally the Land Rover build, again this would feature many of the  former JB Models  kits as well as the vehicle from the Bloodhound set. I am sure that Airfix also had a Land Rover kit in something like 1/40th scale and then there is the Shaun the Sheep vehicle. Remember though that this is a Military Vehicle Build

If I have the details correct I will put up a poll to chose between the builds shown above, and don't forget if you suggested it, you lead it

Cheers

Stu

What about the list we had before though? I thought the M3 Grant/Lee came second place and we decidsed that next time round we do a GB of that, I just think the scope would be a bit too limited after all the Vickers is the only one I would consider building,

Cheers,

Luke

Crikey, I've never lead a GB before. Hey-ho, there's a first time for everything.

There was certainly plenty of interest in building the Lee/Grant among others. We can also include it in the next poll along with the other ideas mentioned above, what does every think?

Well I don't actually have an Airfix Lee/Grant to build, but I'd be much keener to build one of those than any of the other options.....Of which, from my perspective, there are currently none!

All the best

None of the 'new' proposals light my fire, but I'd be interested in a Lee/Grant GB

Good to see some interest in a Lee/Grant GB in 76/32 scale?

Include the Lee/Grant in the Poll and let the people decide!

Just a reminder folks that the next Military Vehicle Group Build will be the Ex JB Models GB, Spudgun has very kindly agreed to be the Group Build Leader.

If you wish to take part in the Group Build, you must sign up using the Usergroup link at the top of the screen (above the Log in/Log out link).

Important: Do NOT sign up as a participant of a Group Build if you only want to view the threads!

To take part in the Group Build:

Click on "Usergroups"

In the "Join a Group" section, select " Ex-JB Models Group Build"

Click "View Information"

Click on "Join Group".

Spudgun will then approve your membership to the build

The build will run from 1st March 2009 to 1st May 2009

Cheers

As the ex JB Models Group Build is well underway it is probably a good time to start considering subjects for the next Military Vehicle Group Build.

I rather fancy having a crack at one of the ancient German tanks either the Panther or Tiger   Any other suggestions/ideas

Cheers

Good choice, perhaps we can go for a German tank theme build, plenty to chose from.

Am at the Salute wargames show at the moment and using the Pda thingy so please forgive any typos

I'd be up for bashing another Airfix PzIV back to an Ausf D.....Maybe with some Tauchpanzer features.  Think

Unfortunately I'm up to my armpits in partially completed builds right now and I don't want to start any more builds (other than the stuff I'm already comitted to) until I've cleared my desk a bit.....Yes, Squarehead finally has a modeling desk!**

All the best
Sgt.S
**  Said desk is not actually in the modeling room at the moment, but it's the thought that counts!
